A “soft” launch of His Witness Scents, the largest collection of Christian fragrances and luxury skin care products, was subtle when operations were tucked away in a downtown boutique in Athens.

Although a formal grand opening of the faith-based fragrance company was bypassed, national attention was still granted as rave reviews from customers and retailers alike poured in, earning them a spot on “Specialty Retail Reports 13th Annual Guide to Top Cart & Kiosk Start-Up Packages.”

“Specialty Retail Report,” with a readership of more than 75,000, is a national magazine which serves as the voice of the specialty retail industry (cards, kiosks and temporary in-line stores). The magazine, dedicated to the promotion, growth and success of the specialty retail industry, is based in Hanover, Mass.

For two years in a row, His Witness Scents, a subsidiary of His Witness Enterprises, has received this prestigious recognition.

“God has been good,” said owner VeRona Porter. “I feel honored and humbled. It just stirs up in me that we need to bring even more services and fragrances for our customer base that has been so gracious to us. We could not have done it without our customers and their prayers. As an appreciation to them, we will continue to bring them the Word and strive to make excellence our ongoing commitment.”

His Witness Scents is a purpose-driven fragrance line whose main focus is “to raise the awareness that any opportunity to share Jesus Christ is an opportunity worth taking.” Porter is very open about the company’s humble beginnings and credits her faith in God and loyal customers for the success story.

Located across the street from the McMinn Living Heritage Museum on West Madison Avenue, the inspirational fragrance boutique serves as the company’s flagship store and corporate office. During the holiday season, His Witness Scents opens its second location in Bradley Square Mall in Cleveland.

With its billboard situated directly above its parking area, customers are immediately presented with the company’s core message. An open Bible and detailed picture of their best selling perfume, “Anointed Isaiah 61,” on a bright green background communicates its trademark, “His Witness Christian Fragrances & Gifts.”
