My mother and I couldn’t believe the beautiful and confident Amelia Sinclair, my high school BFF, would own and wear medical wigs. Her extravagant long black hair was synonymous with her attitude. Guess what? There’s no question she will always be the center of attention for her impeccable looks. Only a handful of souls think to notice that she dons well-crafted African American wigs. It’s not so unusual.

When we were blossoming ladies in Arizona, we used to stole the spotlights to every dance. A few years went by before her women’s hair loss took its toll and she went bald. I recommended some lace front wigs. Oh well, she shrugged it off. Unfazed by medical hair loss, she aggressively demonstrated her attitude.

Attending her boyfriend Jacob’s golf competition, we flirted with the crowd till someone accidentally slapped the puck (or however you say it) into the stands. Such a sport, she went to grab it when her hat jumped from her head, unveiling her hair (or lack thereof). No big deal, she hurled the thing with a tremendous heave right back at him. Attitude, did I mention she’s got it?

Of course, who can be invincible at all times? Months later at our semi-monhtly game of bridge, when she laughed nervously and said that she opts to go bald out of bitterness. She dare not spend money on beautiful wigs, secretly acknowledging she wanted her hair back. At that moment the punk turned flush red and begged that I can’t mention it again. I had to oblige.

We got so worried about her. The next morning, I IM’d with her about going shopping with me for a new lace front wig. After a long deliberation we ended up with an agreement: lace front wigs for all! We have a knack for making online wig shopping fun.

Not sure who was more amazed by the fashionable styles. We didn’t realize that wigs were so professionally crafted for beautiful people and famous actors. These wigs made her so lovely. As for me, pieced together a delightfully modern set of outfits to go with my synthetic wig. We do it all together, if you haven’t heard. Recently she sent me her thanks for reintroducing, and confessed it rekindles a feminine mystique in her life. It’s delightful to realize little miss attitude reclaim her beauty. She’s a better person, with the same confidence.
