A pair of pioneers in the field of injection molding are among those scheduled to be inducted into the Plastics Hall of Fame in June, 2009. James Hendry and George Schwarz, along with seven others who have contributed to the development of plastic polymers, processing and their applications, will be honored during a gala banquet as part of the highlights of NPE2009.
Hendry is a recognized inventor of numerous injection molding machinery systems, including PVC injection molding, while Schwarz was responsible for transforming a small Austrian engineering company into a global leader in injection molding machinery manufacturing. PVC injection molding is the technology behind the production of ubiquitous consumer parts, such as electrical plugs and connectors, along with a variety of automotive parts and appliances.
