City Walk, part of Universal Studios, is also a front-runner in the nighttime’s entertainment industry. The complex has similarities to Down Town Disney (West Side), however its layout is far more compact just like Disney’s Pleasure Island.

City Walk is located along a small lake and can only be accessed on foot. Anyone arriving by car must park at one of Universal’s two enormous parking garages (which are free of charge AFTER 6pm). Cathedral de Valencia

Nova Tabarca

The Island of Nova Tabarca is only around three miles from Valencia’s coastal beach area. Once the home to pirates, the Island of Nova Tabarca is now a popular tourist destination. In the 18th century King Carlos III initiated the building of the first settlements on Nova Tabarca, which were designed to house Italian refugees.

Today, Nova Tabarca features the historical remnants of those times, such as an eighteenth century fortress; St Jose fortified tower and a baroque church.

Turia

The river Turia is the sight of three of Valencia’s notable tower bridges, the Puente del Real, the Puente de la Trinidad and the Puente de Serranos. These three bridges date back to the 15th century and form part of what was one the old fortification walls of Valencia City.

Since the diversion of the river Turia, the old river bed is now the home of Valencia’s Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno, Valencia’s spectacular museum of modern art.

La Lonja

La Lonja is home to several of some of Valencia’s famous attractions, such as the Palacio de la Generalidad, Palace of the Marquis de Dos Aguas, the Plaza de Manises and the Campanil de la Iglesia de Santa Catalina bell-tower.

Palacio de la Generalidad is a famous 15th century Valencian Palace that currently houses the government offices of the Valencian parliament. While the Palace of the Marquis de Dos Aguas embodies the beautiful architecture style of the rococo era.

There are no limits to the sightseeing treasures that await any visitor to Valencia. The province of Valencia and Valencia City are a delight to see and form an important part in both Spanish and European history.

An issue for lots of people and which needs to be addressed is exactly how then should the United Kingdom make a decision on the Euro? A growing number of leading figures such as Peter Sutherland believe the issue needs re-examining to assess the benefits that joining the Euro Zone may provide. The public will still need to be convinced that the net effect on the real economy will be in our favour. However, the five tests were always flawed to a degree and arriving at the ‘clear and unambiguous’ result that Brown hoped for by setting up the tests was always going to be a matter of opinion to a certain degree as well as empirical economics. Even in today’s current economic climate, an evaluation of the tests could go either way depending on assumptions made and, let’s be blunt, the political result that is wanted. What should, though, become more pivotal in judging whether it is now in the United Kindoms interest to join the Euro is the likely impact on financial stability and whether the new risks the economy faces can be adequately mitigated while the UK stands alone.

Bigger economies with a wider range of industries have a number of advantages in dealing with financial risks and economic turmoil. When times are good, Iceland benefited from the activities of its banks in external markets, but when the crisis hit it rapidly became apparent that it was not just the banks, but the country as a whole that was in default. By contrast, Luxembourg or Ireland (both of which have become relatively specialised in financial services), have the rest of the euro area as a source of liquidity.

An obvious conclusion to draw is that the old approaches to assessing Euro membership arepast their sell-by dates. By these latter criteria, the case for the UK to think afresh looks different and stronger than it has in the past.
